Tobi Nagy
[MEI, B. Eng (Hons), A.Dip (Man.Eng)]

Tobi has worked with a number of busnesses to help them commercialise their ideas and innovations and help protect their Intellectual Property (IP), having over seventeen years experience in establishing and developing his own start-up businesses across fashion, food, tourism and consulting.

Tobi has also worked as part-time commercialisation consultant to INNOVIC (regarded as one of Victoria's leading Not-for-Profit commercialisation organisations) specialising in the area of “green” technology.

For the last ten years, Tobi has consulted to a wide range of businesses from start-ups to multi-million dollar enterprises providing strategies, planning, modelling and development. He has worked within a wide range of industries including renewable energy, eco-tourism, manufacturing, health, food, retail, wholesale, hospitality, business services, education services, and Information, Communication and Technology (ICT).

His expertise lies in the area of opportunity evaluation, high growth venture development, commercialisation strategies, system design, financial modelling, developing sustainable competitive advantage and governance.

Tobi is very passionate about sustainability issues, resource management and lifestyle-based enterprises.


Currently, Tobi also lectures and tutors part time in International Business Strategy and Global Logisitics as Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne in the International Business stream.


Education

Tobi is an entrepreneur by nature and has completed his Honours in Masters of Entrepreneurship & Innovation (MEI) at the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship at Swinburne University in Melbourne.

His current studies combined with formal training as an Industrial and Computer Engineer, with honours, at Monash University, (majoring in Earth Science and Ecology), has given him the thinking ability, tools and skills to provide a “balanced” approach to enterprise development, ensuring sustainability is built into the design and operation of the businesses he develops and partners with.
